Haiku

Amazingly, the official name of our organization forms a Haiku. A Haiku is a form of poetry –
a major form of Japanese verse, written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, and employing highly evocative allusions and comparisons.

Our Team

Following are Our Board Of Directors

Daisy Moore Whisenant, BS, MEd

Founder and CEO

Daisy Whisenant is the founder and CEO of Service Leadership International Network of Communities. She holds a BS in Consumer and Family Relations from Lamar University, an M.Ed. from Stephen F. Austin, and the certificate of Education Leadership from the University of Texas, San Antonio. She is certified to teach English as a Second Language (ESL). She has also studied educational leadership at Harvard University, as well as Nonprofit Leadership at the Glasscock School of Philanthropy at Rice University.

Daisy has been a Principal and public school administrator for over twenty years. She is a presenter and coach for building leadership skills. She enjoys volunteer work with international refugees and asylees brought to America by the US Department of State, along with providing assistance for orphanages and vulnerable children in Haiti and in the Colonias of Texas. This work has moved her to found the nonprofit to provide education and leadership training for sustainable projects to help these communities improve their quality of life. Daisy and her husband Tom have one son, Matt. They are active members of a church in Helotes, Texas.

Robert Paul Wilson, BBA, JD

Board of Directors

Attorney Robert Wilson is on the Board of Directors for Service Leadership International Network of Communities. Robert is an outstanding supporter and advisor, and an advocate of justice. Twice a graduate of Baylor University, with a BBA and JD, Robert has practiced law for over twenty four years. For thirteen years he owned his own law firm, Law Offices of Robert P. Wilson, specializing in commercial litigation in which he represented businesses as well as individuals.

Robert is no stranger to international missions, as his father, the late Dr. Louis J. Wilson, Jr., was a minister, physician, and founder of a medical mission and school in Africa. Robert is also an allied attorney with the Alliance Defending Freedom, an advocate of protecting religious freedoms.

Robert and his wife Michelle are members of a non-denominational church in San Antonio, Texas, where they are active in community outreach, nonprofit fundraising, international education, and orphan ministry. They are the proud parents of two daughter and three sons.

Dr. Earl Belver

Board of Directors

Dr. Earl Belver is a member of the Board of Directors of Service Leadership International Network of Communities. He is a graduate of Baylor University, as well as Southwestern Theological Seminary. He is a retired pastor with over fifty years in the ministry.

Dr. Belver is an active member of the church he pastored in Texas for over twenty years. He has two daughters and one son, and he is the proud grandfather of three children.

Matt Whisenant, BA

Director of Sports Ministries

Matt Whisenant is the Director of Sports Ministries for Service Leadership International Network of Communities. Matt is a wise manager of funds, as well as a gifted athlete and organizer of team sports. He was instrumental in organizing sports for his collegefraternity, and he ran track and played team sports throughout high school and college. He is also experienced in fundraising for worthy causes. No bio of Matt would be complete if we did not mention that is also a huge fan of the UK’s Chelsea FC soccer team. Matt has a BA in Economics with a minor in Sociology from Texas Tech University. He has also studied at the Glasscock Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at Rice University.
